The Tree of Life Green Team is an active ministry committed to environmental stewardship within our church and community. We were proud to be the first church in Elmhurst to earn the Earth Flag, awarded by SCARCE and DuPage County, recognizing our dedication to sustainability.
Our work includes hosting recycling events, educational programs, Earth Day celebrations, and discussion series to help our congregation grow in environmental awareness. You’ll also find us participating in citywide initiatives—partnering with the Elmhurst Cool Cities Coalition, marching in the Memorial Day Parade, or promoting our annual Green Garden Fair.
On our church grounds, we’ve pledged to avoid chemical pesticides and fertilizers and have planted native species to support local ecosystems. We believe God has blessed us with a beautiful and fragile world, and we are continually learning how to better protect and honor this precious gift.
